“Rural Educational Aid for Developing Children-IV” (READ Child-IV) project is the 4th phase of the READ Child Project being initiated and executed since 2019.

As an initiation towards improving Early Childhood Development Center (ECD) in the schools of Konjyosome Rural Municipality, Lalitpur, Nepal, the project aimed to provide a quality educational infrastructure in the ECD’s and adequate skills for the ECD facilitators to deliver quality education for the children from socially and economically back-warded communities from the rural villages in Nepal. This project focuses to facilitate the learnings of children aged between 2 years to 6 years, i.e. pre & primary level school children.

This project focused to lay the foundations (Social and Infrastructural) for providing excellent education for children in rural Nepal. It also targeted to act as a support for the smooth operation of the Early Childhood Development Centers being operated in the community.

The 4th Phase Project activities are being implemented in 6 ECD’s established in 6 schools form July 2025 to July 2026. During the execution of project activities, it will be focusing in creating a child friendly educational environment in ECD’s operated through improving access to infrastructure and educational materials, enhancing the capacities of ECD facilitators on interactive teaching and learning, and increasing the level of awareness of parents on health and education through parenting education with their active participation.
